Position Summary:  The Community Foundation is looking for a creative, tech-savvy communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving engagement through digital channels. This part-time position focuses primarily on creating and managing paid and unpaid social media. The Communications & Events Associate will also assist with event planning and provide on-site support during events. Ideal candidates will have experience with Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), graphic design, and events.   • Experience managing social media platforms and paid digital campaigns, especially on Meta (Facebook/Instagram)
  • Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Proficient in email marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact) and comfortable working with online platforms
  • Exceptional writing, comprehension, and editing skills for social media, newsletters, event communications, and website updates
  • Highly organized with the ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Positive, collaborative, and proactive mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience assisting with event planning and on-site coordination; some physical abilities are necessary
  • Flexible and adaptable to work both independently and as part of a team

Other Position Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, it is expected that the employee will be required to work and attend meetings, events, and conferences beyond the hours of the standard workday. Occasionally, this will include some travel and time away from home. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee usually encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  

Compensation and Benefits: This is a part-time position, up to 20 hours per week, Tuesday - Thursday. Hourly compensation is $17 to $22 per hour, depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. While the schedule is flexible, occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for event support. There are no benefits offered with this position.
